Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Runface ("we", "us", "the platform"). By using the platform you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the platform.

1. Who can use Runface

You must be at least 18 years old, or have parental/guardian consent if you are between 13 and 17. The platform is not intended for users under 13.

2. Accounts

You can browse and purchase photos as a guest using only an email. You may optionally register an account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Photographers must be verified by email before they can be assigned to events by an administrator.

3. Photographer responsibilities

Photographers who upload photos to the platform represent that:

• They own the copyright to every photo they upload, or have permission from the copyright holder.
• They have permission from event organisers to photograph and resell photos from the event.
• The photos do not contain content that violates Malaysian law or the rights of the people in them beyond ordinary race-day photography norms.

4. Buyer rights

When you purchase a photo:

• You receive a personal-use download token that lets you download the original file up to a fixed number of times within a fixed window (see your downloads page for specifics).
• You may print and share the original for personal, non-commercial purposes.
• You may not resell the photo, license it commercially, or claim authorship.

5. Pricing & payment

Prices are shown in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and include all applicable taxes. Payment is processed by third-party gateways (Chip, Stripe, PayPal). Your card or banking details never reach the platform's servers — they go directly to the gateway.

6. Refunds

Please see our refund policy. In short: purchases are non-refundable because the digital photos are delivered immediately and consumed.

7. Content removal

If you appear in a photo and believe it should not have been listed on the platform — for example, if it captures you in a context you did not consent to — email us at support@runface.local and we will review the request promptly. Verified takedown requests are honoured within 72 hours.

8. Platform availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Photos uploaded by photographers are stored at our cost; we may purge unsold photos after the retention period set per event (see our privacy policy).

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, our total liability for any claim relating to your use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via the platform homepage at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute will be brought to the courts of Kuala Lumpur.
